Heritage High School Patriots

Heritage High School was founded in 1976 inspiring the Patriots mascot to honor America's bicentennial. The school is located in
Conyers, Georgia in Rockdale County. The county resides within the 13 county Metropolitan Atlanta region. The mission of Heritage High School, a
diverse community dedicated to learning and built upon tradition, excellence, and Patriot Pride is to promote exemplary achievement through many different values.
The values include respect for one's self and others, collaboration between students, teachers, and parents, rich and multifaceted extracurricular activities,
and safe and orderly environments. The school boasts high academic achievement as well as superior athletic teams, fine arts productions, and an award winning band.

Coach Chris Ingle

My name is Chris Ingle. I grew up in Conyers, Georgia and was the captain of the football team for Heritage's crosstown rival, the Rockdale Bulldogs. I received a full athletic scholarship to
North Carolina State University. After many injuries and a tough couple of years, I transferred to Georgia College and State University. I earned a degree in History and married my wife Kelly during my senior year.
I owned my own business called Ingle Courier Service, Inc. for 14 years and received many awards and honors including Rockdale County Small Business Person of the Year, Leadership Rockdale,
and Leadership Georgia. I served the community as the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of United Way, Chairman of CR Future as well as many other community and corporate boards of directors.
However, in 2010 my sister was diagnosed with leukemia. Going through the treatments with her caused me to re-focus my life. It was then that I decided to get back to what really mattered,
and I decided to become a teacher and a coach. It was one of the best decisions of my life as I cannot wait to get to school every day to see all of the kids. I coach the offensive line for
the Heritage Football Team as well as the throwers for Heritage Track and Field. I love the outdoors, traveling, fishing, cooking, and all lake activities on Lake Oconee where I live.
I have two beautiful daughters named Sarah Grace and Amelia Caroline who is named after my wonderful sister who is now cancer free!

My Classes

World History ~ English 10 ~ American Literature 11

I teach World History for one class. In this class, we will cover World History from the Renaissance until Modern Day. I also teach 10th Grade English for one class, and I am a co-teacher in
10th Grade English for one class. In this class, we will study grammar, analyzing literary and informational texts as well as reading two novels including the students' favorite "Monster." Finally,
I co-teach 11th Grade American Literature. I thoroughly enjoy co-teaching this class in which we study American Literature, including artists who represent Romanticism, Realism, and the Modern Era.
