                     Dr. Griffin has taught in public and private schools at the elementary and middle grade levels and has compiled over twenty-five years of
                         higher education experience.  Prior to coming to Valdosta State, he was employed at Roanoke College for four years.  In 2005 he served as 
                         the Acting Department Head for the Department of Kinesiology & Physical Education and was named the Department Head in 2006.  He has
                         served in that capacity since that time.  His research interests cross many areas including the infusion of fitness into the physical education
                         curriculum, unique game and sport activities appropriate for public school learners, and the use of technology and activity preferences to
                         enhance physical activity for middle grade children.
